China Glaze Sea Spray is a beautiful muted dusty blue. If you look close enough you can see a slight pearly shimmer, but you have to catch it in the right light. Sea Spray is a little thicker than I like, and I will probably add a little thinner to it. This is 2 coats of China Glaze Sea Spray with 1 coat of nubar Diamont.
I did Sea Spray specifically as a base for another color. My friend Bridget was asking about Revlon Whimsical, which I just happened to pick up. Revlon Whimsical is a mix of silver, pink and blue hexagonal glitter, with a few pieces of tiny blue glitter in a very sheer creamy blue base. I personally think it is probably too sheer to be worn alone and prefer the look over a pastel base. This was 1 thick coat of Whimsical over the combination above.
I just bought this one, too! You are so right - there's just not enough to it alone. I wish it had as much glitter as Popular. I have three coats on my toes (over a similar blue) and you can barely tell.

You could always add your own glitter, I tried to use the brush to strategically place more. It is so fun though.
